KABUL -- The Afghan Air Force's first-ever nighttime air strikes Sunday (December 9) inflicted "heavy casualties" on the Taliban in Uruzgan Province, Pajhwok Afghan News reported Monday (December 10).
The air strikes destroyed weapons and ammunition, said Defence Ministry spokesman Ghafoor Ahmad Jawid Monday (December 10).
"For the first time Afghan A-29 pilots conducted precision night strikes on 4 enemy targets in Trinkut [Tirin Kot]," Maj. Abdul Rahman Rahmani, a pilot with the Special Mission Wing in Kabul, tweeted Monday.
