LAGHMAN -- National Directorate of Security (NDS) forces killed at least 12 Taliban militants in a special operation in Nangarhar Province, the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Friday (December 14).
The operation took place Wednesday night (December 12) in the Zaway area of Khogyani District, said the statement. At least four militants were wounded.
Troops destroyed equipment, weapons and ammunitions belonging to the militants, as well as six hideouts, according to the statement.
No civilians were harmed, officials said.
