MAZAR-E-SHARIF -- Afghan forces killed at least six Taliban militants and wounded nine others in a joint clearance operation in Tashkan District, Badakhshan Province, the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Thursday (January 3).
The Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police, Afghan Local Police, National Directorate of Security (NDS) and local uprising forces took part in the operations that began December 25, added the statement, without providing further details.
