KABUL -- Afghan police killed at least eight Taliban militants during a clash in Sharana, Paktika Province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Tuesday (January 8).
The militants were killed in a police counter-attack in the Cheli area, said the statement, without providing details on the timing.
Authorities seized three AK-47 rifles and three vehicles belonging to the militants.
No police or civilians were harmed during the clash, the statement said.
