KANDAHAR -- National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives arrested at least 11 militants during various operations in Kandahar Province, TOLOnews reported Wednesday (January 9), citing a statement by the NDS.
The suspects were involved in planning and conducting subversive activities in the province and were arrested in Kandahar city as well as in Shah Wali Kot, Zhari and Maiwand districts, said the statement, without providing details about when the arrests took place and whether the detainees were the Taliban.
Among those arrested were two suspected would-be suicide bombers, who planned to carry out attacks in Kandahar, the statement added.
