KABUL -- Afghan ground forces backed by their own air force killed at least 19 militants and wounded three others over the past 24 hours, the Defence Ministry said in a statement Monday (February 4).
The air force carried out two strikes and 78 flights in support of the ground forces, which launched 12 clearing operations and carried out 81 special force missions, said the ministry.
The operations took place in 11 provinces.
