KABUL -- Afghan commandos freed at least five hostages from a Taliban prison in Kunduz Province, the Defence Ministry said in a statement Friday (February 8).
The operation against the Taliban-controlled prison in Chahar Dara District took place late Thursday (February 7), according to the statement.
Four suspects were arrested, it added.
Officials did not identify the freed captives.
How likely is it that current peace efforts will be successful?
