NANGARHAR -- Four Taliban militants were killed and three other militants wounded by the premature explosion of their own bomb in Nangarhar Province, the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Wednesday (February 13).
The incident took place Tuesday (February 12) in the Zaway area of Khogyani District as the Taliban members were preparing to plant a roadside bomb, said the statement.
Separately, a mine clearance team from the same corps defused at least seven land mines Tuesday in different parts of Nejrab District, Kapisa Province, said the same statement.
