MAZAR-E-SHARIF -- Afghan air strikes Tuesday (February 19) in Faryab Province killed at least 10 Taliban militants and wounded three others, the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement.
The strikes took place at about 11am in Aliabad village, Garziwan District, said the statement.
A local Taliban commander identified as Mullah Najib was among those killed, it added.
The air strikes destroyed three hideouts and weapons belonging to the militants, the statement said. No civilians were harmed.
