MAZAR-E-SHARIF -- Afghan forces killed at least 28 Taliban fighters and wounded eight others over the past 48 hours in Faryab Province, the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Monday (March 18).
The ground operations, which had support from the Afghan Air Force, took place in the Arkilak, Shaakh, Zahurya, Zeyaratgah and Naw Dara areas of Qaisar District, said the statement.
Afghan forces suffered casualties during the operations, said the statement, without providing more details.
