LAGHMAN -- Afghan special forces killed at least 87 members of "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in an operation in Nangarhar Province, the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Tuesday (March 26).
The 14-hour-long operation took place Monday (March 25) in Achin District, said the statement.
Afghan ground forces, backed by the Afghan Air Force, destroyed 26 hideouts and five operational centres belonging to the militants in the district, the statement said.
