KABUL -- Personnel from the Afghan Counter Narcotics Special Operation Police and the General Command of Police Special Units destroyed a drug factory in a joint operation in Badakhshan Province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Thursday (March 28).
The operation took place in Nimtala village, Darayim District, the statement said, without providing the exact timing.
Police destroyed 200kg of liquid opium and an unspecified amount of chemicals used to produce heroin, as well as drugs and other materials, said the statement.
