NANGARHAR -- Afghan forces stormed a major hideout of Taliban militants in Lalpur District, Nangarhar Province, the provincial government press office said in a statement Wednesday (April 10).
The operation occurred in the Shahkoti area of Lalpur District, the statement said, without giving details on the timing. The hideout served as a base for plotting terrorist activities as well as a prison, it added.
Troops confiscated weapons and ammunition belonging to the militants, according to the press office.
No civilians were harmed, officials said.
