HELMAND -- The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement Sunday (April 21) that its special forces arrested the Taliban shadow governor of Musa Qala District, Helmand Province.
The suspect, identified as Mullah Abdul Ghafoor, was detained in a special operation in the district, the statement said, without providing details on the timing.
Security personnel also seized three AK-47's, a pistol, 600kg of explosives, dozens of propaganda documents, vehicles and a radio, the statement added.
The Taliban did not immediately comment.
