NANGARHAR PROVINCE -- National Directorate of Security (NDS) special forces killed at least five "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) sympathisers Wednesday (April 24) in Nangarhar Province, Khaama Press reported Friday (April 26), quoting Nangarhar governor's spokesman Ataullah Khogyani.
NDS forces conducted a raid in Momand Dara District, said Khogyani, adding that the troops came under fire when they were trying to arrest a group of ISIS sympathisers.
The NDS forces destroyed some weapons and munitions besides killing the five ISIS supporters, Khogyani said.
