KANDAHAR -- Afghan forces killed at least 11 Taliban militants in combat in Uruzgan Province, the 205th Atal Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Wednesday (May 1).
The troops' mission took place on the outskirts of Tirin Kot, the provincial capital, as part of Operation Khalid-98, the statement said, without providing details on the timing.
Troops destroyed two hideouts and some militant weapons, added the statement.
