HELMAND -- National Directorate of Security (NDS) special forces killed at least 19 Taliban militants in a raid in Helmand Province, the agency said in a statement Sunday (May 19).
The operation targeted a Taliban compound in Gereshk District, said the statement, without providing details on the timing.
Troops confiscated weapons belonging to the militants, it added.
The Taliban did not immediately comment.
