GHAZNI -- Afghan ground and air forces killed at least 18 Taliban fighters in different parts of Ghazni Province, the press office of the provincial governor said in a statement Sunday (May 19).
Afghan forces targeted Taliban fighters Saturday (May 18) in the Zakir area of Deh Yak District, killing at least eight militants, including three local commanders, said the statement.
Separately on Saturday, the Afghan Air Force struck a Taliban vehicle in Kohna village of Deh Yak District and killed six militants, it added.
According to the same statement, Afghan artillery killed four Taliban militants and wounded seven others on Saturday in Andar District.
