KABUL -- Afghan special police and commandos from the army killed at least eight Taliban fighters, including four local commanders, in a joint operation in Kunduz Province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Tuesday (May 21).
The insurgents were targeted Monday evening (May 20) in Aqtash District, the ministry said.
Afghan forces confiscated 48 different types of land mines and 30 rockets in the operation, it added.
