Afghan special forces rescue 9 held in Taliban prison in Ghazni

GHAZNI -- Afghan special forces rescued at least nine captives from a Taliban prison during an operation in Ghazni Province, according to the Afghan Special Operation Corps.

Afghan forces conducted the operation Monday (June 3) night in Gero District, said the statement.

Five military personnel and four civilians were among those rescued.
