Coalition air strike kills 2 Taliban Red Unit commanders

NANGARHAR -- A coalition air strike killed two commanders of the Taliban's Red Unit in Nangarhar Province, the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement on Sunday (June 9).

The operation targeted the militants in Sherzad District, the army said without giving details about the timing.

No civilians were harmed in the attack, it added.
