Afghan special police kill Taliban shadow district governor in Sar-e-Pul
KABUL -- Afghan special police Tuesday night (June 11) killed the Taliban shadow district governor for Sayaad District, Sar-e-Pul Province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Wednesday (June 12).
The suspect was identified as Sher Muhammad, also known as Ghazanfar, said the statement.
One of his fighters was also arrested, it added.
Three motorcycles, weapons and 60kg of narcotics belonging to the militants were seized during the operation, officials said.
