Afghan artillery strikes kill 3 Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in Kunar

LAGHMAN -- Afghan security forces targeted a compound in Kunar Province belonging to Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistani militant group, killing at least three, the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Thursday (June 13).

Artillery strikes hit the militants Wednesday (June 12) in Asmar District, said the statement.

Five other militants were also wounded, it added.
