ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan -- A Turkmen truck convoy carrying various forms of aid has reached Afghanistan, Turkmenistan's Golden Age TV reported last week.
The convoy departed Turkmenistan July 24 on President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov's orders. It carried medicine, textbooks, school supplies, children's clothing, textiles and candies.
Turkmenistan regularly sends humanitarian aid and discounted electricity and liquefied natural gas to Afghanistan to help stabilise its war-torn neighbour.
