Afghan forces destroy Taliban suicide training centre in Logar
GARDEZ -- Afghan special forces destroyed a training centre for suicide bombers in Logar Province, killing at least eight Taliban militants, the corps said in an earlier statement Monday (August 12).
Afghan forces confiscated explosives and a number of weapons during the operation, said the statement.
Separately, Afghan forces killed six Taliban militants, including two local commanders, in the past 24 hours in Maidan Wardak Province, the 203rd Thunder Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Tuesday (August 13).
Officials identified the suspected commanders as Mullah Daud and Mullah Saboor, according to the statement.
