KABUL -- Afghan special police arrested a key member of the Haqqani Network in an operation in Kabul, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Wednesday (August 14).
The suspect, identified as Sardar Muhammad, also known as Khalifa Daud, was arrested in Police District 9, the ministry said without giving the date of the operation.
Sardar was responsible for providing weapons and ammunition to the Taliban as well as to the Haqqani Network, it added.
