KABUL -- An air strike in Logar Province killed four members of the Taliban, including the group's shadow governor for Azra District, the 209th Shaheen Corps of the Afghan National Army (ANA) said in a statement Sunday (August 18).
The air strike hit the militants Saturday night (August 17) in Pul-e-Alam, the provincial capital, said the statement.
The Taliban commander, identified as Mawlawi Muhammadullah Farooqi, his deputy and two other militants were among those killed, it added.
The Taliban did not immediately comment.
