KABUL -- An Afghan air strike killed a leader of the Haqqani Network in Barmal District, Paktika Province, the Interior Ministry said in a statement Tuesday (December 25).
"Saifullah, the military and logistic head of the Haqqani Terrorist Network [was] killed along with six others after Air Forces struck a militants' hideout in Margha village, Barmal District, eastern Paktika Province, yesterday," the Tuesday statement said.
The deceased helped plan and co-ordinate suicide attacks in Paktika and neighbouring provinces, the statement added.
