Pakistan vows co-operation in nabbing Kabul campus massacre culprits

Staff Report

KABUL -- Afghanistan and Pakistan have come together to track down the organisers of the deadly August 24 attack on a university in Kabul, media reported.

Afghan troops killed all the attackers by early August 25, but the terrorists killed at least 13 Afghans.

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani phoned Pakistani army chief Gen. Raheel Sharif and urged him to act against any culprits based in Pakistan, Ghani's office said, according to an August 25 Khaama Press report.

Raheel condemned the massacre and assured Ghani that Pakistan would not allow its soil to be used for any terrorism in Afghanistan, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said, according to an August 25 SAMAA report.

In an August 25 phone converation that Raheel initiated, he assured Ghani of Pakistan's full co-operation in tracking down the organisers, ISPR said.
