HELMAND -- A premature explosion Sunday (August 5) killed a Taliban commander and two of his family members in Helmand Province, the provincial government press office in a statement.
The incident occurred in Garmsir District as the commander, identified as Baran, was making roadside bombs with his two sons and his brother, said the statement. It did not specify which relatives were killed.
The explosion wounded seven children and four women.
