KABUL -- The National Directorate of Security (NDS) Thursday (March 7) tweeted that its special forces killed one of the main architects of last week's attack on Afghan forces in Helmand.
The operation took place late Wednesday (March 6) in Nawzad District, the NDS said, adding that seven other militants were arrested.
Afghan forces killed at least 20 Taliban fighters when they attempted to storm the base of the 215th Maiwand Corps of the Afghan National Army March 1 near Lashkargah.
