ISIS kills 8 members of Taliban's Red Unit in Nangarhar

LAGHMAN -- Fighters loyal to "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) killed at least eight members of the Taliban's elite Red Unit in Nangarhar Province, the 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan National Army said in a statement Monday (April 15).

A battle erupted between the two groups Sunday (April 14) in the villages of Haidar and Asman, as well as in the Ibrahimkhil and Wadi Saar areas of Khogyani District, said the statement.

At least four ISIS fighters have been killed so far in the clashes, added the statement.
