JAWZJAN -- Hundreds of local Jawzjan people came out on street to show solidarity with the First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum, Khaama Press reported October 18.
The people, with arms in their hands, marched in the province to support the Vice President and to counter the Taliban-led insurgency in the northern parts of the country.
General Dostum is leading counter insurgency operation in Jawzjan and other northern areas. His convoy was attacked in Ghormach District by Taliban some days back, but he remained safe in the ambush.
