KABUL -- The Afghan government will build or improve health facilities in 10 provinces at an estimated cost of 218m AFN (US $3.3m), the Afghanistan Times reported October 25.
The Public Health Ministry signed contracts with various private contractors to build facilities in Ghor, Kandahar, Baghlan, Maidan Shahr and Nimroz, while expanding some Kabul clinics and building surrounding walls for the Mullah Tarakhil clinic in Kabul.
The ministry has plans to build hospitals and clinics in Nangarhar, Panjshir, Zabul and Parwan provinces as well.
