BADGHIS, Afghanistan -- Taliban militants reportedly killed a woman for remarrying after her divorce in Badghis Province, the BBC reported Monday (December 19).
Aziza, 25, was fatally shot on December 17 after a complaint by her ex-husband, a local politician, Naser Nazari, said.
The woman had remarried after her divorce, but her ex-husband reportedly petitioned a self-appointed Taliban court about her remarriage.
She was killed in her father's house by Taliban militants, officials said.
The Taliban denied involvement in her slaying and called it the result of a family feud.
