KABUL -- Afghanistan is still trying to bring the Taliban back to the negotiation table without pre-conditions, Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal said in a Xinhua interview, TOLO News reported Tuesday (January 31).
The government is in contact with militant commanders and with the Taliban political office in Qatar to pave the way for peace talks, he said.
The Afghan High Peace Council confirmed that the government has no pre-conditions for talks,
