Dostum’s guards summoned to Attorney General's office

KABUL -- Seven bodyguards for First Afghan Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum on Wednesday (February 22) appeared at the attorney general's office for questioning in connection with charges in the alleged torture and sexual abuse of a Dostum political rival, TOLO News reported.

The bodyguards are accused of involvement in the abduction and abuse of Ahmad Ishchi last November in Jawzjan Province.

The Attorney's General Office January 23 ordered the arrest of nine Dostum bodyguards in connection with the case .
