SAR-E-PUL, Afghanistan -- Militants shot and beheaded three Hazara tribal elders in Sayad District, Sar-e-Pul Province, Wednesday (March 15), said Asadullah Khurram, a member of the provincial council, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
Khurram blamed the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) for the deaths, but provincial police attributed them to the Taliban.
