ZABUL -- Security forces killed at least 31 militants, including 18 would-be suicide bombers, during separate operations in Zabul Province, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said, Khaama Press reported Tuesday (April 4).
The operations took place in two districts, said the MoD, adding that the dead included eight Pakistanis.
The National Directorate of Security (NDS) detained a suspected would-be Haqqani Network suicide bomber in Sharana, Paktika Province, Khaama Press reported Tuesday, quoting the NDS.
The suspect planned to target the district police station in Jani Khel District, according to the NDS.
