KABUL -- Thirteen still-imprisoned members of the Hezb-e-Islami Afghanistan (HI) party were involved in plotting suicide attacks, HI admitted Wednesday (May 3), according to TOLO News.
The government, as part of a peace deal with HI, had agreed to release about 70 HI members. However, only 55 went free this week.
About 3,000 HI members remain in prison, said HI official Abdul Hadi Zolhekmat in Kabul Wednesday.
