KABUL -- Afghan troops killed 87 militants in a 24-hour span, the Afghanistan Times reported Wednesday (May 17), quoting a Ministry of Defence (MoD) statement.
Troops killed the militants in 18 provinces, said the MoD, adding that the dead included four "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) members and two Taliban commanders.
