Suspected mastermind of Kabul bombings, 5 other militants captured

KABUL -- Afghan forces captured six Taliban militants, including one accused of masterminding the Kabul suicide attacks, in Maidan Wardak and Khost provinces, media reported Monday (June 12).

Troops nabbed the suspected mastermind and two other Taliban members in Marshal Valley, Maidan Wardak Province, said the Ministry of Interior Monday, according to TOLO News

Qari Mohammadullah was planning to fire rockets at Kabul, reported Khaama Press.

Police Monday in Baghlan Province arrested the Taliban shadow governor for Khost District, Baghlan Province, and two other militants who were travelling to Kunduz Province, Khost District governor Khalil Rahimi told TOLO News.
