KABUL -- Pakistan has documented 10,000 illegal Afghan refugees and plans to register another 700,000 in the next six months, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations (MoRR) said Monday (August 21), Pajhwok Afghan News reported.
Registration of the refugees began August 16 with the help of the Afghan government and the United Nations Refugee Agency. Pakistan has set up 21 registration centres, said the MoRR.
Afghanistan sent a 25-member team to Pakistan to monitor the process, added the MoRR.
