HELMAND -- Gen. Omar Jan Haqmal, police chief of Nad-e-Ali District, Helmand Province, was killed in combat with the Taliban Saturday (September 23), Khaama Press reported Sunday (September 24), quoting the provincial government.
The provincial government praised Haqmal for long service to Afghanistan.
