KABUL -- The Taliban says an American hostage being held by the group is suffering from major health problems, TOLOnews reported Monday (October 30).
The Taliban kidnapped American Kevin King and Australian Tim Weeks August 7, 2016, in Kabul. Both were teaching at the American University of Kabul.
"Among the two, the American teacher [Kevin King] has a dangerous heart and kidney disease," according to a Taliban statement on Monday.
The Taliban warned the US to accept the group's conditions for King's release.
