KABUL -- Afghan troops killed at least 18 militants in a 24-hour span in Ghazni and Nangarhar provinces, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said July 8, according to Pajhwok Afghan News.
At least 14 insurgents were killed in Gero and Andar districts, Ghazni Province, the MoD said.
Meanwhile, troops in Kot and Achin districts, Nangarhar Province, recently killed four members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), the MoD said, adding that two troops died in the fighting.
