Afghan Taliban commander killed, 27 militants wounded

KABUL – One Taliban commander was killed and at least 27 militants were wounded in recent violence in three provinces.

Recent artillery and air strikes wounded at least 22 militants in Kunduz Province, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said Thursday (December 22) according to Khaama Press.

Five other Taliban recently were injured by their own bomb in Nuristan Province, the MoD said separately, according to Khaama Press.

Troops on Thursday (December 22) killed a Taliban commander in a battle that erupted after militants attacked police in Baghlan Province, district police chief Col. Mohebullah Kohdamani said Friday (December 23), according to TOLO News.
