JALALABAD -- Security forces killed 12 members of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) in a 24-hour span in Nangarhar province, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a statement Wednesday (February 22).
The troops were conducting the counter-insurgency Operation Shaheen 25 in Haska Mina District, said the MoI.
Troops are conducting the operation throughout Nangarhar Province against ISIL.
