KABUL -- Three Taliban militants were killed in fighting in Takhar Province Thursday (March 23), media reported.
The militants stormed the office of the Khwaja Bahauddin District governor and set fire to it, according to TOLO News.
Security forces arrived and drove the militants out of the building, killing three of them, said police Lieut. Gen. Sher Aziz Kamawal in a statement Friday, adding that four police officers were injured.
Security forces in Nangarhar Province detained a land mine planter, Khaama Press reported.
