LASHKARGAH -- Coalition air strikes destroyed four more drug factories in Helmand Province Tuesday (November 21) as part of a new effort targeting Taliban funding, according to a provincial government statement Wednesday (November 22).
The air strikes hit Desho District, destroying four factories and assorted drugs. At least 15 militants were killed, the statement said.
The US and Afghan air forces began a combined air campaign targeting Taliban drug facilities Sunday (November 19), destroying 10 drug labs in northern parts of Helmand.
The Taliban have denied the existence of the drug-making facilities.
